Consultation- Burren Charter

The Burren Community Charter Group held its first consultation event this June Bank holiday weekend. The event took place at the North West Clare Agricultural Show in Ennistymon and was the perfect place to begin to explain what the Burren Community Charter is all about.

Delighted with the welcome they received, The Burren Community Charter team were in high spirits as they meet with old friends and neighbours. Mingling and meeting with the busy crowds, the team members spent hours handing  out  information and answering questions.  With lots of other things to do and see, the crowds also enjoyed showing classes for horses, ponies, donkeys, cattle, sheep, home crafts, photography and dogs. The glorious weather helped proceedings, with the Tug of War spectacle especially entertaining.  Here the strong men of North West Clare reminded us all why we need to eat more porridge. !!  Well done to everyone who helped make this a very enjoyable day.

Burren Community Charter Group - Consultation
Burren Community Charter Group welcomes consultation with people who live and/or work in the Burren on the issues that affect their daily lives. The Group will also research the issues that have been recorded in numerous reports with regard to the Burren and its management and will look at how these reports relate to people's everyday lives. The Burren Community Charter group will ask questions. E.g. how successful have we been in tackling these report issues in the past and where  why and how have problems arisen?

The main aim of the community charter is the formulation of a locally produced strategy that identifies and finds a way forward which is the common vision for all Burren communities.
